This picture was taken in January, '06, when we were visiting the Buenos Aires NWR near Arivaca, AZ. It show Baboquivari Peak in the background -- a site sacred to the Tohono O'Odham Indians of the area.
Since January, we've slowly moved from southern Arizona (Bisbee, Benson, Arivaca, Tucson) up into central Arizona (Fountain Hills, east of Scottsdale), then north up to Cottonwood, and to Flagstaff. We've spent the summer in the blissful cool of the White Mountains of east central AZ -- ranging from Happy Jack (elev. 7100') to Alpine (elev. 8050'), with a long visit to Show Low (elev. 6300').
We're waiting for the weather to cool down south. Also, we'll be returning to Tucson at some point to help Sarah's Aunt Peg move from her house of 40 years and into a condo.
Postings to follow will provide more details and a few photos.
